Dr. Ronald Thornhill

Dr. Ronald Thornhill was appointed to the IDA Board of Directors in September 2022 to represent the Totaro District.

Dr. Thornhill, a native of Richmond, currently serves as the senior pastor of The Tabernacle of Zion Church in Lawrenceville, VA, a thriving ministry he founded 30 years ago. As part of his distinguished career, Dr. Thornhill also serves as the Principal at Brunswick High School, Board Member of the VCU Community Memorial Health Center, Board Member of the Brunswick IDA, and Vice Chair of the Southside Virginia Community College. Dr. Thornhill’s formal education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Master’s Degree in Education from Old Dominion University, a Master’s of Divinity from Virginia Union University, and a Doctorate Degree in Administration and Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
