REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

RFP #2025-6

The Brunswick County Industrial Development Authority is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide Cost Plus prices for necessary repairs to all properties, buildings, etc. owned and operated by the Brunswick County Industrial Development Authority.

Categories and scope of repairs include:
General Maintenance and Repairs | HVAC Repairs | Plumbing Repairs | Electrical Repairs | Junk & Debris Removal | Emergency Repairs | Roofing Repairs | Painting

The IDA will be responsible for all building permits.

All billing shall be submitted on a monthly basis using Cost Plus pricing. All work requires a rapid response time on emergency repairs and a 10% Performance Penalty may apply.

The term of the contract will be on an annual basis with a renewal option of one additional year.

The primary job to be completed upon awarding the RFP#2025-6 is the formally known as the Pecht Center Building, now the Brunswick County Industrial Development Authority at 116 W. Hicks Street, Lawrenceville, Virginia. A detailed engineers report is available at the Brunswick County Industrial Development Authority. Contact April Beaty at 434.848.0248.

Builders are required to comply with Title 54.1, Chapter 11, Code of Virginia, to show evidence of certification or registration before their bid may be considered. Bids shall be governed by Section 11-49 of the Code of Virginia.

Insurance: Personal Injury and Liability Insurance is required as well as a $1,000,000.00 Certificate of Liability Insurance with the Brunswick County Industrial Developmental Authority listed as additionally insured.

Bidders may bid on individual services or all services.

Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Brunswick County Industrial Development Authority located at 116 W. Hicks Street, Lawrenceville, Virginia no later than 4:00 pm local time by Monday, July 28, 2025 after which they will be opened and read loud.

The Brunswick County Industrial Development Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Other factors besides price will be considered. Please include personal and professional references and a list of your last 5 clients.
