Mr. Raymond Thomas

Ray Thomas was appointed to the Brunswick County Indutrial Development Authority (IDA) May 2002 as an “At-Large” member and the Secertary-Treasure / Clerk.

Ray has lived in Brunswick County his entire life, growing up in the tobacco fields of Seldom Rest Farm. He graduated from Brunswick Academy in 1981, University of Richmond in 1985, and from Southside Virginia Community College in 1987. He and his wife of 37 years, Pam, are the owners of Brunswick Insurance Agency Corporation in Lawrenceville, VA. He is former president and current secretary of Lawrenceville Rotary Club, secretary-treasurer of Brunswick Academy executive board, chairman of Brunswick Crime Solvers, President of the Brunswick Chamber of Commerce, member of the Lawrenceville Lions Club, Central Brunswick Ruritan Club, and UR Spider Club. Proud Spiders, Cowboys and Braves fan, currently working on his 15 gallon pin for American Red Cross blood donations. He and Pam have two daughters (Brooke and Ariel), four grandsons (Beck, Calvin, Jesse, and William) and one granddaughter (LilyRae).
